Become a Life CoachHard to Become a Life Coach?

Think again!

I know what it’s like to think, “I can’t do that.” Growing up, I loved to read and write, and I had dreams of being an author. I was also told at a young age that wanting to be an author wasn’t practical, and I needed a Plan B. As a child, I wasn’t thinking about Plan B dreams; I was thinking about what I loved to do. This “knowledge” that I couldn’t do it was crushing.

Notice that my child-self immediately took this “advice” and turned it into a belief that I didn’t have a chance. This is what the subconscious mind does, even decades later when you’re all “grown up”. It takes words, experiences, thoughts, and emotions and builds beliefs around them – even if they’re completely irrational.

After I met Dr. Michael Craig and became aware of these kinds of beliefs, I was finally able to start changing them. I’m still working with my beliefs all the time, but every limiting belief I let go of expands my sense of freedom.

So, the next time you think you can’t become a life coach, take a moment to ask yourself: Is it really true?

If you have the desire to help people transform their lives for the better, then you have the spark necessary to become a life coach. If you are a skilled listener capable of setting aside judgment with a positive attitude, you’re off to a great start. If you’ve already learned how to successfully overcome common obstacles in life, even better!

Still, you may be wondering: How can I become a life coach? I’ve never done this before!

Let me remind you that you don’t have to be a professional life coach to become one. That might seem obvious, but it’s still important that your subconscious mind understands this. Everyone has to start somewhere, and the only thing holding you back is YOU.

Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Chances are you’ve already been an unofficial life coach for your friends and family. Are you the one people come to for sage advice or an objective viewpoint? How about the person who helps people calm down and see things clearly so that they can step forward more confidently? Most importantly, do you enjoy being this person?

Then you’re in luck: you’re a natural. All you need is some experience and knowledge to build up your skills and your business. You can gain experience with life coach training or by reading about life coaching techniques and practicing on friends.

My advice is to start by learning from someone with decades of experience – Dr. Michael Craig. He takes you step by step through the process of how to confront your limiting beliefs about money and business, as well as how to build your life coaching practice in a positive, enduring way. Best of all, he tells you how you can become a life coach, too. Young or old, inexperienced or an expert, you CAN become a better life coach at any time!
